Montreal Canadiens Organization Acquires Interesting 6-Foot-3 Centre as Reinforcement
A name familiar to many Quebec fans is officially joining the Montreal Canadiens organization as reinforcements.
The NHL trade deadline has obviously passed, but the Canadiens organization can still bolster its depth at other levels.
That's what we've seen in recent hours with the Trois-Rivières Lions, and we're bringing it up because it involves a name well known to fans of the Quebec Remparts.
Via trade, the Canadiens' ECHL affiliate, the Trois-Rivières Lions, have acquired Andrew Coxhead from the Orlando Solar Bears, who are affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Andrew Coxhead joins the Montreal Canadiens organization
The former Quebec Remparts player will now look to climb the ranks and potentially make his way up to the Laval Rocket.
Coxhead is a big center, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 201 pounds. He's 24 years old and was once viewed as a highly promising player.
With the Remparts (QMJHL), he recorded 18 points in 23 games and 47 points in 68 games over his last two seasons there.
He then added 15 points in 21 games with the Gatineau Olympiques and 24 points with the Rimouski Océanic.
Coxhead made the jump to professional hockey in 2024-2025 - this season - and has registered 9 points since his debut (58 points in 69 games with St. Mary's in the AUS).
We wish him all the best with this new opportunity within the Canadiens organization.
