The young defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens, Arber Xhekaj, had a lot to say during his post-game press conference.

Keaton Middleton last night, a big defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche and it seemed to be a major spark for the Canadiens' comeback.

The Sheriff mentioned that the players said to each other on the bench before the fight that they needed "something" to bring some life to the team and the arena.
When he saw Middleton going after
Josh Anderson, his teammate who's playing through a serious injury, he didn't hesitate for a second.
We know what happened next.
It's surprising, but everything was relatively planned and everything fell into place for that fight to happen.
"It's incredible what we did in that 3rd. We were so close to blowing the roof off the place, it got taken away pretty quick there in the shootout but we're proud of each other.
You thought we were out of it for a second but it's like 'we ain't go away boys.' We believe in each other and we believe in this group. It was a special game.
We don't really care who's on the other side.
We're not afraid of any team here. We love our game against anyone. Obviously it's good to see how we can compete against that team but we don't care who's on the other side."
- Arber Xhekaj
Arber Xhekaj on his fight: "obviously we needed some life, it was kinda quiet in there so I wanted to get the boys going and get the building rocking a little bit so I did what I could."
Bottom line: Xhekaj knew exactly what he was doing, and we love to hear that.
His plan clearly worked. Despite the shootout loss, the team picked up a massive point in the standings.
