We have bad news involving the young Montreal Canadiens forward, Ivan Demidov.

As a reminder, Demidov temporarily left last night's game to head back to the locker room following an apparent injury.
In the end, he returned to the game shortly after, but there's clearly something wrong. Ivan Demidov barely played ten minutes last night.
I'm sorry, but that's absolutely incomprehensible!
Whether it's because he's hurt or because Martin St-Louis wants to send him a message (in either case, it's very bad news), the fact remains that Demidov really didn't play much last night in New Jersey.

Ivan Demidov glued to the Montreal Canadiens bench more often than not

The young forward wearing number 93, who is unquestionably one of the team's top three forwards right now, played only ten minutes and twenty-seven seconds last night.
That confirms exactly my fears, and I don't know what more Demidov has to do at this point to earn more ice time.
Demidov played more than two minutes less than a certain Joe Veleno, which is quite incredible when you think about it.
"Martin St-Louis playing Veleno more than Demidov needs to be studied.

This is unacceptable.

A player who you picked up as a gamble who might not even end the season in Montreal and be back next year is playing more than your franchise player.

Let that sink in."
This rather strange decision is likely to keep sparking discussion today.
The Canadiens fell 4-3 to the Devils in overtime, earning a single point. They remain atop the Atlantic Division with 20 points.
