The name of the 6-foot-4 forward, Pavel Zacha, has been circulating in Montreal trade rumors for quite some time now.
After all, he's a former client of general manager Kent Hughes!
Well, today, we've just learned that Zacha would accept a trade to the Canadiens! Interesting...
Center Pavel Zacha would accept a trade to the Montreal Canadiens
The excellent TVA Sports journalist, Nicolas Cloutier, shared some very interesting details regarding Zacha!
"One of the NHL's worst-kept secrets is that Hughes loves Bruins center Pavel Zacha. Hughes represented Zacha at Quartexx, the agency he only agreed to leave - after much thought - to become GM in Montreal.
Reliable NHL sources tell us that Montreal is not on the list of teams Zacha would refuse a trade to - quite the opposite.
Apparently, there are a few Czech players around the league who dream of playing in Montreal, by the way. I'll leave it at that."
- Nicolas Cloutier
"Quite the opposite" is a very interesting addition at the end of that quote!
Pavel Zacha, 28 years old, is a big left-handed center standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 211 pounds. He was a first-round pick (6th overall) by the New Jersey Devils in 2015.
He has recorded over 350 points in just over 630 NHL games and is off to another strong start this season.
Could this former Kent Hughes client be the solution for the Canadiens' second-line center position?
