Martin St-Louis Opens Up After Losing Sammy Blais on Waivers to the Leafs
The Montreal Canadiens recently had an unpleasant surprise on the NHL waiver wire.
Martin St-Louis breaks silence following Samuel Blais's departure to the Toronto Maple Leafs
Here's what St-Louis had to say on the subject, as reported by TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau.
"These are tough decisions. We knew that this kind of thing could happen. I wish him the best. He's a good hockey player." - Martin St-Louis
Blais has just taken his first strides in the Toronto Maple Leafs uniform.
Sammy Blais was a little surprised yet excited about being claimed by the Leafs. Adds familiarity with Berube helps.
"I'm really motivated."
Samuel Blais, 29 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 206-pound forward who has collected 71 points in 257 career NHL games and has played in 27 NHL playoff games.
In 2022-23 with the Blues, under Craig Berube, he recorded 20 points in 31 games.
Last season in the AHL, he registered 40 points in 51 games.
We wish him the best of luck with the Maple Leafs.
