We have an update, live from Carolina, regarding Joshua Roy and the Montreal Canadiens. We were eagerly waiting for head coach Martin St. Louis's press conference to get answers to our questions.
If so, who will be the odd man out? Will
Arber Xhekaj be sent to the press box?
As reported by RDS journalist Patrick Friolet, Martin St. Louis didn't even want to announce his lineup changes during his media availability, but a surprising scene on the ice in Carolina gave us a major clue.
In the past few minutes, three players took to the Hurricanes' ice (this is usually done by the players scratched from the lineup).
Kaiden Guhle reinforcing the Canadiens at Joshua Roy's expense?
We're still waiting for confirmation, which is why we're speaking conditionally, but all signs point to this being the case.
Martin St-Louis hasn't announced his lineup changes yet, aside from confirming that
Samuel Montembeault will be in net.
Joshua Roy skated with Michael Pezzetta and Jakub Dobes.
So we shouldn't rule out a lineup with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen.
We could see a lineup of 11 forwards and 7 defensemen tonight to face the Carolina Hurricanes.
In any case, all the clues are pointing that way.
Joshua Roy would get the night off, Kaiden Guhle would return to action, and Arber Xhekaj,
Jayden Struble, and
David Savard would all be in the lineup.
If this is confirmed, do you agree with the decision?
