Kent Hughes and the Canadiens could proceed to a surprise acquisition
Following today's major announcement in the ECHL, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens could make an interesting addition.
A name well known to fans.
Let's remember that it's officially the end for the Newfoundland Growlers, and the franchise is removed from the league.
This means that all team players will become free agents and can offer their services to other teams.
Last summer, Kent Hughes brought together the brothers Florian and Arber Xhekaj.
Is this year, will he reunite the brothers Brock and Cole Caufield?
Brock Caufield was a player for the Growlers, the team that was dissolved today in the ECHL!
It's definitely a possibility and it will be interesting to watch, especially since it would be an opportunity for the CH to snatch Caufield from the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. (who will probably want to retain his services)
Caufield, 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches, and 159 pounds, is a right winger who has still amassed 32 points, including 12 goals, in 63 games this season with the Growlers.
Why not give him a chance on a lower team in the Montreal Canadiens organization? Do you like the idea?
A file to follow!
Imagine eventually having, with the Habs, Arber and Florian Xhekaj, Cole and Brock Caufield, as well as Ryan and Nick Suzuki.
