Ivan Demidov's SKA Teammate Leaves Team, Emerging as an Intriguing Target for Kent Hughes
We have some interesting news involving a teammate of the Montreal Canadiens' young prospect Ivan Demidov.
It's being said that it's due to family reasons, but there seems to be more to it:
«SKA St. Petersburg has terminated Tony DeAngelo's contract.
The U.S.-born defenseman recorded 32 points (6+26) in 36 games, with a +15 plus-minus rating and 33 penalty minutes.
He was benched by Roman Rotenberg for the third period of the game against Dynamo Moscow.»

It's a shame because he seemed to get along really well with Demidov.
So, will it be the AHL or NHL for DeAngelo?
Signing DeAngelo May Be a Possibility for the Canadiens
The connection to the Canadiens was quickly made, partly due to his relationship with Ivan Demidov, but also because it's a name that had already been linked to the team in the past.
DeAngelo is overflowing with talent. He certainly has the skills to be as productive as a Mike Matheson and to score 50-60 points per season in the NHL, but the red flag in his case has always been his attitude.
In his most recent NHL seasons, Tony DeAngelo has produced at paces of 30 points per 82 games, 50 points per 82 games, 65 points per 82 games, and 64 points per 82 games.
Personally, I would pass on this opportunity.
Everything is going so well right now with the Canadiens, so I wouldn't take that risk, even though it could be rewarding.
