Former Habs player makes surprising choice between Caufield and Laine

An interesting publication involving Cole Caufield and Patrik Laine has surfaced.
It was through Marco Normandin that a post from La Poche Bleue resurfaced, a post in which Guillaume Latendresse and Maxim Lapierre discuss the Patrik Laine case, who has now requested a trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Guillaume and Maxim have indeed expressed their opinions on this matter.
Is Laine better than Caufield? Who would you pick first? Patrik Laine at 20, or Cole Caufield at 20?

"That's a good question... [long hesitation] But I would take Caufield now.

So, it seems that Latendresse prefers Caufield today, although he hesitates between the two players, but he would take Laine at 20 before Caufield.
As for Lapierre, he had a very different response.
"I can't stand (Laine). You know me well enough, I can't stand that style of player. I can't stand them!"

In Caufield's case, he has passion and heart, even though he's only 5 feet 8 inches, but in Laine's case, his attitude seems to be questioned by some.
However, Laine's incredible natural talent (he is 6 feet 5 inches) is undeniable, as is his immense potential.
That said, we would absolutely take Cole Caufield over Patrik Laine.
