We finally have the confirmation we were waiting for regarding goaltender Jacob Fowler. It's the news we've been anticipating for a while, and now it's official.

Fowler has signed a three-year contract with Kent Hughes and the Canadiens, a deal that starts next season (2025-2026), along with a professional tryout with the Laval Rocket, effective immediately.
"Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced Friday that the organization has agreed to terms on a three-season entry-level contract (2025-2026 to 2027-2028) with goaltender Jacob Fowler. He also signed a one-year, one-way contract in the American Hockey League for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season."

What fantastic and exciting news for the future of the Montreal Canadiens organization.

The Canadiens Confirm the Signing of Jacob Fowler

After several surprising twists, he's finally under contract with the Habs!
Great work by Kent Hughes!
Jacob Fowler, 20 years old, posted a 25-7-2 record this season with a 1.63 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage in the NCAA.
The 6-foot-2, 214-pound goaltender didn't have much left to prove at the college level, if you ask me.

Jacob Fowler's Arrival in Laval with the Rocket Is Confirmed

This announcement also confirms that Fowler will NOT be playing with the Canadiens this season, but he could join them as reinforcement as early as next season.
To wrap up this year, he'll be with the Laval Rocket.
In fact, the organization just confirmed his arrival date.
It'll be interesting to see what decisions are made, especially with Cayden Primeau currently on fire.
