Canadiens Face Unusual Distraction in Washington Ahead of Game 1 vs. Capitals
It's not a great look from the Capitals organization, as they clearly don't seem interested in resolving, or even mitigating the issue. It concerns ongoing renovations at Capital One Arena.
Due to these renovations, which are happening very close to the visiting team's locker room, the Canadiens will have to deal with a strong odor in their dressing room.
This kind of thing can cause fairly intense headaches and shouldn't be overlooked, but apparently, there's nothing being done to fix the situation..
A Distraction for the Montreal Canadiens in Washington
Hopefully, it won't be too much of an annoyance for the Habs players.
An article by Dave Lévesque.
Here's an excerpt from how he described the situation:
"When you walk beneath the stands, it's a never-ending construction zone. There's even a hole in the concrete slab where it's suspected some archaeological digging is going on.
But it's when you get near the visiting team's locker room that it becomes downright unpleasant, with strong smells of industrial glue and paint.
If we didn't know how long it takes to hire a contractor, you'd almost think this was a deliberate tactic to disturb the visiting team."
- Dave Lévesque
It's quite an exceptional situation, to say the least, ahead of the much-anticipated series between the Capitals and Canadiens starting Monday night.
