In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have issued an official statement announcing the cancellation of today's practice.
That explains why Martin St-Louis confirmed several decisions yesterday at noon during his press conference.
So it's expected to be a very quiet day within the Canadiens organization today, ahead of tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils.
Aside from the change announced in goal (with Jakub Dobes replacing
Samuel Montembeault), no other lineup changes are expected for the Canadiens as they face the powerful Devils.
Morning practice canceled by Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens
This kind of decision has often worked well for Martin St-Louis in the past, so he's sticking with that approach.
"The Canadiens are not scheduled for a morning skate on Thursday, however it was announced on Wednesday that Jakub Dobes would get the start in goal for Montreal.
