Blues GM Issues Public Statement Defending Logan Mailloux Trade Amid Fan Backlash

The major trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the St. Louis Blues continues to stir conversation.
We recently mentioned it, but this trade is far from unanimous in St. Louis.
Blues fans simply don't understand why their general manager traded a talented young forward like Zachary Bolduc, and the trade has been so heavily criticized that Doug Armstrong has already had to come out publicly to make a statement about Logan Mailloux.

And let's just say he didn't hold back.
"He's an excellent skater and has a great shot.
He's still learning the defensive side of the game, but we believe he's ready to make the jump to the NHL now.
I spoke with him and told him there's a spot for him, and it's his job to keep it.
We're going to bring him into the NHL and help him develop into a Top-4 defenseman.
We've been scouting him all year and believe he'll become a Top-4 defenseman.. maybe even more. Time will tell."
