Everything indicates that we are about to get a long-awaited confirmation for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens.

Reinforcements are reportedly about to officially enter the lineup today.
According to information from TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, today is finally the day when newly acquired forward Alexandre Texier is expected to be inserted into Martin St-Louis' lineup.
The confirmation should come at any moment now.

Alexandre Texier could make his Canadiens debut as early as today

We're really looking forward to seeing that today.
"Alexandre Texier should play his first game in a Canadiens uniform on Friday against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Frenchman agreed to terms with the Canadiens on Sunday and watched Wednesday's game from the press box."

We are still awaiting the official confirmation, but once the Canadiens make the announcement, I'm especially curious to see which forward will be the odd man out to make room for Texier in the lineup.
The possible candidates to be scratched in favour of Texier include Florian Xhekaj, Jared Davidson, and possibly Joe Veleno, although scratching Veleno could complicate things for St-Louis since he is a center.
Texier, 26, has collected 1 point in 8 games this season with the St. Louis Blues under head coach Jim Montgomery.
Last season, also with the Blues, Texier recorded 11 points in 31 games.
Story developing.
