As you probably already know, and as we reported last week, goaltender Carey Price will be delivering a highly anticipated media availability today at noon.
This will be the first time in a while that the star goaltender will address the media, and reporters will have a lot of questions for him, especially regarding his future plans and his health status.
Since the announcement of the media availability, many have been speculating about a possible imminent retirement for Price, but beware.
Many well-informed experts deny this information, and other observers (like host Maxime Truman) believe that Carey could possibly have a nice surprise in store for us:
"Many believe Carey Price will announce his retirement this noon in a press briefing.
I have a FEELING that it will be quite the opposite, that he will confide that he still intends to try to play.
I could be wrong, but 1 such exit would not surprise me."
"Effectively (we can forget the retirement announcement). But I have the FEELING that Price will confide that he really wants to come back. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.
PS there is still about $24 million to be paid to Price as of today. Which is still HUGE when you think about it." - Maxim Truman
Either way, we're really looking forward to seeing. It would be really great if Carey actually confides that he still intends to attempt a comeback.
