We now know why Kaiden Guhle was removed from the lineup ahead of tonight's game

Earlier today, we learned that Montreal Canadiens promising young defenseman Kaiden Guhle will not be in uniform tonight for the game against the Buffalo Sabres prospects.
He was expected to be in the game, but he was finally removed from the lineup. It's a shame because we were looking forward to see him back in the blue-white-red uniform, but now we know the reason thanks to Renaud Lavoie.
See what the TVA Sports reporter reports on the subject:
"Kaiden Guhle will not play tonight, but will play in the tournament in Buffalo. Canadiens management wants him to practice before he starts playing again."

So CH management wants Guhle to practice in a practice situation before throwing him into game action. Guhle will be called upon a little later in the tournament, however, which is good news.
Remember, of course, that Kaiden Guhle suffered a pretty serious lower body injury earlier in the summer, so he hasn't seen much action in recent weeks.
