Finally, as mentioned by Marco Normandin, and as reported by journalist Andy Mailly-Pressoir, Patrick Roy reportedly had a meeting (a meeting) with the Montreal Canadiens' staff today.
So that would be the reason why Roy was in the CH's entourage in the last few hours.
There is a lot of talk on social networks, and we still don't know the exact nature of this meeting, but we have just learned that Roy was in Brossard to meet with Habs executives. To be continued!
