The Habs finally got some good news on Sean Monahan yesterday, as he finally returned to practice with the team. However, he was wearing a jersey indicating that he was still not ready to receive contact.
However, there was another very interesting development today for the Tricolore, as number 91 was seen skating alone, but wearing a regular jersey.
This new step doesn't necessarily mean that Monahan is ready to play, but the mere fact that he continued to skate is an encouraging sign.
If he is now ready to receive contact, it will likely take a few more days of getting back in shape with the team before he officially returns to the CH lineup, but it is very encouraging.
It is possible to believe that his return to the game could be done during the next week.
Given that the 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, his return to the lineup comes at the right time to potentially monetize his services at the trade deadline.
