In recent days, many journalists have reported that young Logan Mailloux will be meeting with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman this month to determine whether he will be allowed to be in the NHL next season.

So, we have been eagerly awaiting this verdict, and it should normally go well, especially following the recent statements by Rob Ramage.
There is a real possibility that the 6'3", 208-pound defenseman could play a few games with the Montreal Canadiens as early as next season.
However, it seems that there may be a delay in receiving the decision. The anticipated meeting may not have taken place yet, and part of the answer can be found in a recent article by the excellent Stu Cowan.
According to Cowan's report, Mailloux will only meet with Gary Bettman when the defenseman is officially ready to make the jump to the NHL.
This aligns with Bettman's statement:
"We will assess Logan Mailloux's situation when the Montreal Canadiens decide to bring him into the NHL." - Gary Bettman

It's an unexpected statement, especially since we were expecting a clearer verdict. However, it seems we might have to wait several weeks or even months before receiving an official response from the NHL regarding Logan Mailloux.
One thing is for sure, we are really looking forward to seeing him at training camp. He has a lot of promise, the young player!
