Trade market : major revelation regarding Ben Chiarot

There's a lot of talk about the upcoming trade of Ben Chiarot, who sits at the top of every list of players to watch on the trade market, and it's taken for granted that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton will get a good return in exchange for the veteran defender. (if he is actually traded)

On the other hand, it is not a sure thing. According to several excellent sources, including ESPN's Emily Kaplan, despite his strong performance, including Thursday with two goals, general manager Kent Hughes has still not received a good offer for his 30-year-old defender.

Worse. The Canadian would not even have been offered a simple first-round pick for Chiarot yet. To date, the offers are below a first-round pick.

A truly startling revelation. So for those wondering if an announcement is coming? That doesn't seem to be the case, at least for now.

That explains why Chiarot hasn't been traded yet.

Why don't good offers come? Because several "buyers" teams are waiting to see what the Stars will do with John Klingberg and the Ducks with Hampus Lindholm. (before putting the package for Chiarot)

These will therefore be two issues to watch closely. Unsurprisingly, the more quality defenders there are on the trade market, the more unattractive the offers will be.

What would you do, instead of Kent Hughes?
