For the past few days, we have been waiting for the confirmation of the return to play of veteran defenseman Joel Edmundson, who is really getting closer to a green light from the doctors. Remember that the latter started to practice again (full training, with contacts) a few days ago and that he is recovering well.

According to a couple of polls, he is the injured player you are most looking forward to seeing again in the Habs roster.

THERE IS NEW

As part of the broadcast of yesterday's game between the Habs and the Oilers, TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie mentioned that it is "very likely" that the #44 will play his first game of the season, on Wednesday, against the Vancouver Canucks.

That would be a great comeback!

Joel Edmundson is already traveling with the team right now. The organization is cautious in his case, and that's absolutely understandable, but he's really getting closer.

Edmundson's return is obviously expected, but will come with consequences for other d-mens of the team. There will be congestion on the blue line.

Martin St-Louis will have a big decision to make.

Will Corey Schueneman be removed from roster? Could this speed up the Ben Chiarot trade?

To be continued! Who do you think will be scratched?
