There is news about the future and the next contract of Kirby Dach
With a few weeks left before the opening of training camp, the CH still has two uncontracted free agents in Cayden Primeau and Kirby Dach.
Regarding the newcomer, many rumors have circulated in recent weeks. Many thought that Hughes was waiting to free up some space on his payroll before completing his roster. However, Carey Price will have helped his GM as he spends the next season on the full-time injured list.
While Hughes suddenly has more space under the salary cap, $4.373M at a minimum, one has to wonder what is hanging in the negotiations with Dach. In his recent 32Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman said that length would be the issue.

Hopefully, Kent Hughes will have an announcement ready for us soon!
Could we get a surprise 6 or 7 year contract? That seems like a possibility.
