Juraj Slafkovsky just received an invitation and an interesting call

The 18-year-old forward is training hard for the Habs' training camp that will start in September and even if we don't know what his role will be with the team at the beginning of the season, most experts predict a bright future in the NHL.

As Slafkovsky is now considered a rising star in the hockey world, he was honored in the last few days by a famous hockey card company.

As reported by Marco Normandin of Habsolumentfan.com, the Habs' first pick in 2022 will be attending a very special event in the coming days.

A nice invitation and an interesting call for Slafkovsky.

In collaboration with the NHL Players Association, as well as the famous hockey card company Upper Deck, Slafkovsky will be in Washington, D.C., along with 29 other young NHL prospects, with the goal of having a day of photos and videos in their respective professional uniforms. All of this, of course, to make collectible cards, you know those famous Young Guns cards, as well as promotional content.

Other prospects invited to the event include some Quebec players such as Samuel Poulin of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Jacob Perreault of the Anaheim Ducks and Hendrix Lapierre of the Washington Capitals.

Note that Slafkovsky will be accompanied by only one other player from the 2002 draft, Shane Wright.

Will the two young prospects take advantage of this event to fraternize a little?

We don't know, but one thing is for sure, hockey card collectors will certainly be snapping up Juraj Slafkovsky's famous Young Guns rookie card over the next few weeks.
