Over the past few days, there have been many rumors about Josh Anderson, regarding a potential trade to come.
Some observers have begun to speculate on possible trade scenarios, but not so fast.
The verdict seems to be in already.
According to what the excellent Frank Seravalli mentioned, on his DFO Podcast, it's a long way off:
"Based on my information, it would be really surprising if Josh Anderson was traded. (It's a long shot) Kent Hughes has had a couple of very interesting offers, teams have been very aggressive in acquiring him and the CH has always resisted and always said no." - Seravalli
The insider continues his explanation and basically says that while Josh Anderson has not been traded at this point, he most likely will not be.
Offers have already been numerous and aggressive, and the Hughes/Gorton duo has not flinched. So we should expect Anderson to be back in Montreal next fall.
Anderson, 28, has 32 points (19 goals) in 69 games this season. He earns $5.5 million per season until 2027.
If it was your decision, would you trade Josh Anderson?
