The arrival of Kale Clague seems to herald the departure of some veterans

Earlier this afternoon, the Habs acquired offensive defenseman Kale Clague in a trade from the Los Angeles Kings. This is a nice pickup by Jeff Gorton, considering Clague has excellent offensive upside and hasn't reached his full potential.
However, with Clague's arrival, it's starting to get crowded on the Habs' blue line.
Some reporters believe that Clague's arrival means the eventual departures of defensemen Brett Kulak and Ben Chiarot. They could bring back attractive draft picks and good young prospects if they are traded.
Also, Gorton may be tempted to send Mattias Norlinder back to Sweden very soon with the addition of Clague. He will then be able to continue his development properly.
Grant McCagg also seems to be saying that Clague will be ahead of Sami Niku and Chris Wideman when everyone is healthy. A point with which I wholeheartedly agree.
