According to what Elliotte Friedman reported, the Senators are reportedly planning to put goalie Matt Murray and his $6.250 million through waivers tomorrow.
The organization would have enough of his underperformance, he was even left out today against the Anaheim Ducks.
It would be very surprising if he was claimed by a team, considering his monstrous contract, which is valid until 2024.
Matt Murray's time with the team has not been a great success, let's face it. He has no wins this season in six games, has maintained a disastrous 3.26 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage.
It's not embarrassing to say that the 27-year-old hasn't been able to stop a beach ball since he arrived in Ottawa last year...
It's quite a downhill slide for the man who won the Stanley Cup in 2016 and 2017 with the Pittsburgh Penguins as a starting goalie.
