After the game against the Sens, the Montreal Canadiens organization announced two cuts, including one of the very nice surprises of the 2022 camp, Owen Beck:
"The Canadiens have cut two players from their training camp.
The Canadiens have released two players from training camp.
O. Beck (Mississauga)
B. Gignac (Laval)"
- Montreal Canadiens"
So Beck is effectively cut, and he's going to rejoin his junior club in Mississauga, but he left a great impression and is returning to junior with a (much deserved) NHL contract in his pocket.
He will be a strong candidate to break into the CH lineup next year, and possibly join the Laval Rocket lineup at the end of the season.
As for Gignac, he will immediately join the Rockets' training camp.
