Arber Xhekaj continues to be a strong candidate to cause a surprise and earn a spot in the Montreal Canadiens starting lineup to begin the regular season.
Tonight, he had another solid game, as well as setting the Bell Centre on fire:
After this sequence, an attentive fan noticed that Xhekaj had a few sweet words for his opponent:
We love it!
It says a lot about Xhekaj's confidence and composure. It's just a small sample, but we imagine he talks a lot on the ice, and it's absolutely perfect for getting his opponents out of their game.
In fact, we saw Brady Tkachuk being bothered by Xhekaj on several occasions tonight.
We love this kid and would love to see him start the season with the Montreal Canadiens. Stay tuned!
