Yesterday, following their loss in the Stanley Cup Grand Final, it was time for the Tampa Bay Lightning to take stock of the damage done to their team, and the organization revealed the extent of the damage while several of their players were playing injured.

Here are the results:

Today, it was the Stanley Cup champions' turn. The Colorado Avalanche organization did indeed just reveal the list of injured players, and it is also impressive:

"Bednar says that during the Stanley Cup playoffs, Darcy Kuemper had to go to an optometrist 2-3 times a day to re-train his eye (emphasis added, he had to go 2-3 times per day)

Other Avalanche injuries:

Val (Nichushkin) - broken foot

Burky (Burakovsky) - broken foot and thumb

Kadri - broken thumb

Girard - fractured sternum

Helm - abdominal tear" - Vic Lombardi

So we see here that, yes the Lightning were banged up, but so were several Avalanche players.

How about Valeri Nichushkin and Darcy Kuemper, two extremely important players for Colorado who were in bad shape.

Check out these scary images of Nichushkin's foot:
