It didn't matter what kind of team the Habs were facing yesterday, the important thing was to analyze what Dominique Ducharme's team was made of. They responded without worrying about who they were playing against and who wasn't.
What I wanted to observe was the commitment of the players. Conviction, passion, the desire to win and their IDENTITY. Today, we can say that it was a mission accomplished, as the club dominated in terms of pitching and stood out in opposing territory.
That said, all of this hubbub leads me to a poll put together by the JiC team (TVA Sports) and the result of it. Here's the question: After yesterday's win, which of the statements do you think is a certainty?
So a little more than 60% believe that beating Detroit is a victory without glory... For me, it's more than that because, as mentioned before, the commitment and the work were there, which is a big step forward from the first ten games. The identity of the Canadiens was back, at least for one game.
