For the past few days, the Montreal Canadiens' young defenseman, Arber Xhekaj, has been attracting the attention of the entire National Hockey League.

We recently learned that there will be a documentary specifically dedicated to Xhekaj's exceptional rise. We can't wait to see it!

An official statement from the NHL.

WiFi certainly wouldn't have predicted this at the beginning of the season, but lo and behold, the National Hockey League's official page has just issued a nice little official release to talk about him.

For a young guy like that, it's still a "big deal".

Here is the NHL publication:

"Got passed over 3 years (in a row) in the draft before the Canadiens invited him to their rookie camp in 2021.

Was passed over 2 years (in a row) in the OHL draft before joining Kitchener.

Worked at Costco when the 20-21 season was cancelled. Also had a job building tennis courts.

Signed his first professional contract in October 2021 and scored his first goal on October 22, 2022." - NHL

This is great attention from the league's communications team, and further proof that Xhekaj is getting more and more attention. We already knew that, but there are many clubs that bitterly regret missing out on him.

To see:

It's nice to see that the NHL recognizes his work and his involvement!

This kind of publication is normally reserved for star players like Connor McDavid, Jack Hughes, Sidney Crosby, Cale Makar and others, so it's surprising to see, but our Sheriff is more and more talked about and we love it!
