Surprising announcement and change of address for Cayden Primeau this Sunday? That's what has just been suggested by Arpon Basu
The issue of the three goalies currently on the Montreal Canadiens roster continues to be a hot topic, especially after Cayden Primeau's performance last night.
In the last few minutes, a very interesting statement has surfaced.
«The Canadiens will want to recall another defenseman before the trip out West in case of injuries, and to make space, Primeau could be put on waivers. Ideally, when you leave (long distance), you'd like to have all the extras you can with you [] In an ideal world, they (Canadiens) would want Primeau gone before Sunday."
Arpon Basu
Wow! So, we might see a resolution to this situation by Sunday, at least according to journalist Arpon Basu, who covers the Montreal Canadiens.
Let's note that the Canadiens play two games at the Bell Centre, tomorrow and Saturday night, and then the team flies out West.
Will Primeau indeed be placed on waivers by Sunday? If so, let's bet that a team will definitely claim him, and that will be the end of his time with the Habs.
Let's hope that doesn't happen, but Basu isn't saying this for nothing.
Stay tuned.
Will Primeau still be with the Canadiens organization in a week? Hopefully yes, but it seems far from certain.
