Surprise: signing alert as a new goaltender arrives within the Montreal Canadiens organization and will join the Rocket
We were just saying yesterday that the Montreal Canadiens' farm team really needed some reinforcement in goal, and here it is.
Under his role as General Manager of the Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes has made an addition to the organization.
After having «missed out» on Antti Raanta, another goaltender will try his luck in Laval.
Here is the announcement.
"The Laval Rocket has announced that they have signed goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo to a professional tryout contract." - Laval Rocket
Kaskisuo, 30 years old, is a goaltender standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 194 pounds. He has two career NHL games experience, with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Nashville Predators, and has been solid in the AHL. (0.909 save percentage in his last season in 2020 and a record of 14-9-2)
Since then, he has been playing in Sweden's top league, with Leksands.
