The three-time Stanley Cup winner, the ever-entertaining forward Phil Kessel, remains unsigned in the NHL. He's ready to assist a team, but as the awaited NHL opportunity hasn't arrived, he may soon look elsewhere.
Last year, Kessel scored 36 points in Las Vegas, playing barely 12 minutes per match on the fourth line, quite a solid performance. The year before, he collected 52 points in 82 games with Arizona.
In Kloten, Phil Kessel would join Nathan Beaulieu, and importantly, he would play alongside one of the NHL's top defensive prospects, David Reinbacher.
It could be interesting for the Montreal Canadiens to see a veteran like Kessel guide Reinbacher in Switzerland, especially in boosting his offensive production, as he currently lacks much support in this area.
