There's some action on waivers.
It's really rare that we see this in the middle of All-Star Game weekend, but in the last few minutes, the Detroit Red Wings submitted Tampa Bay Lightning's 2012 second-round pick Adam Erne to waivers. (Drafted 33rd overall)
The former Quebec Remparts had not played in the AHL since 2017 and was a very established NHL regular.
In 43 games this season, Erne, 27, recorded 14 points.
His salary is $2.1 million until this summer. He will then become an unrestricted free agent.
This is absolutely the kind of player that an NHL team would be interested in and he should be claimed. (probably by a team that needs a physical, hard-working player heading into the playoffs)
Where do you think he will end up?
