There's big news currently circulating within the Montreal Canadiens that's going unnoticed.
It couldn't be confirmed this morning because Martin St-Louis didn't want to reveal his lines, but here's what Martin McGuire said on 98.5 FM.
There were major changes in the CH's line combinations.
In particular, the nearly set-in-stone duo of Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki would have been separated.
Here are the new lines mentioned by McGuire:
Caufield – Monahan – Anderson
Harvey-Pinard – Suzuki – Gallagher
Pearson – Newhook – Slafkovsky
Pezzetta – Evans – Ylonen
Harvey-Pinard – Suzuki – Gallagher
Pearson – Newhook – Slafkovsky
Pezzetta – Evans – Ylonen
Is this because of Nick Suzuki's poor start to the season? Will it be confirmed tomorrow against the Washington Capitals? A story to follow.
Monahan has a strong history as a number one center, especially during his time with the Calgary Flames alongside Johnny Gaudreau.
