Signing Alert: Two goaltenders including Mikey DiPietro Reach a Deal
In the past few minutes, two more goaltenders have signed contracts in the National Hockey League.
First, the Boston Bruins have reached an agreement with the young Mikey DiPietro on a one-year, two-way contract worth an annual value of $775,000.
DiPietro, 24 years old, is a 6-foot, 200-pound goaltender. He was considered one of the most promising goaltenders a few seasons ago.
Last season in the AHL, he had a save percentage of 0.943 and a goals against average of 1.99 (0.918 and 2.61 in Maine). He has also played in three games of NHL.
Moving on to another goaltender signing, the New York Islanders have just announced the signing of young Jakub Skarek.

It's interesting to note that this is a two-year contract with an annual value of $775,000.
Skarek, 23 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound goaltender. He was one of the top young goaltenders in his draft class.
In 38 games last season in the AHL with the Islanders' affiliate team, Skarek maintained a 3.37 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.892 (15 wins and 19 losses).
