Earlier this week, especially with General Manager Pierre Dorion's presence (in person) at the Bell Centre, many trade rumours surfaced between the Ottawa Sens and the Montreal Canadiens.
Shawn Simpson (of TSN) has put forward four names that could be of interest to the Senators:
Ottawa has two big needs right now. They want to acquire a center, to fill the loss of Josh Norris, and they want to add a veteran defenseman. Pierre Dorion mentioned it openly at the press conference. He has to act quickly, to get his team back in the playoff race.
So Simpson's suggestions make perfect sense.
Which one(s) do you think are most likely to be available on the trade market right now?
In our opinion, it's almost impossible to trade Savard right now, especially considering he's a right-hander, and we'd like to keep Monahan for a while longer. He's worth it!
That would leave Edmundson and Dvorak. Edmundson could be Kent Hughes' next Ben Chiarot on the trade market, and Dvorak could be the next Toffoli.
