Patrick Roy is about to announce a big decision for his future and for his career as a manager

Now that his Quebec Remparts were eliminated in five games last night in the semi-final round of the QMJHL playoffs, Patrick Roy must reflect on his future as a manager.

Indeed, the current Remparts head coach took everyone by surprise in the last few hours by announcing that he will soon have to make a big decision (and announce it):

"I'm going to take some time to think about it, for sure. I'm going to sit down with Jacques Tanguay, [the team's president] and we're going to continue to do some thinking about this." - Patrick Roy

He took many by surprise. Everyone expected to see him back behind the Remparts' bench next year, especially considering that his club's championship window will still be wide open.

Nathan Gaucher, James Malatesta, Evan Nause, William Rousseau and probably even Zachary Bolduc, should all be back in Quebec City, in the QMJHL.

But in the end, Roy really left a big doubt about his future in the QMJHL.

What explains this indecision for the fiery and passionate Roy? We all know that his primary goal is to return to the NHL as a manager, so is that about to happen for him?

Many speculate that it is.

Could the Montreal Canadiens find him a job, now that the communication is well established between the two camps?

To be continued!

Head coach of the Quebec Remparts for 12 of the last 17 seasons, Roy has accumulated a very respectable record of 468 wins in 774 games.
