Official: Alex Galchenyuk has signed a new contract
The month of July was simply catastrophic for the former third overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens. Indeed, after signing a one-season agreement with the Arizona Coyotes, the organization decided to terminate his contract twelve days later due to his legal troubles.
Now a free agent, many observers thought his career might be over, believing that no team would be ready to offer him a new contract for the upcoming season.
However, according to the Instagram account Puckempire, Alex Galchenyuk has signed a deal with Spartak Moscow in the KHL. Although his chances of returning to the NHL were incredibly slim, it's great news to learn that he will still be able to play hockey professionally.
