Nick Suzuki just signed an eight-year extension worth $7.85 million with the Montreal Canadiens. A lot of money for the 22-year-old and a good deal for both parties.
Following his signing, the Habs' first center met with the media. He admitted that the two sides had been negotiating for about months. He made an incredible statement, worthy of a modern day 22-year-old, to explain how the negotiations went.
The main interested party is more than excited to spend the next nine seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. He will be the centerpiece of Montreal's offense for many years to come.
Nick Suzuki's parents took the opportunity to show how proud they are of their eldest son, following the news. A family visibly very united.
Tyler Toffoli congratulated his linemate in his own humorous way.
