New major revelations from Pierre Gervais and Stéphane Waite concerning Jonathan Drouin
As reported by my colleague Alex Desrosiers, regarding the Jonathan Drouin situation, there was an interesting exchange last night on 98.5 FM.
Former Montreal Canadiens equipment manager Pierre Gervais and former goaltending coach Stéphane Waite discussed the situation, and they made significant revelations under the circumstances.
Gervais was not surprised by this story at all:
"In Jo's case, I remember he always arrived very tight, always just in time, and I remember Claude Julien always looked at that. He was really cutting it close. At that time, you're kind of asking for trouble. So I'm not really surprised."
Pierre Gervais
Stéphane Waite added:
"I remember Jo so well, you're so right Pierre, the guys would come into the video room and you often saw Jo come into the arena at the same time, the guys were already in gear and Jo was dressed in civilian clothes and came into the meeting because he had just arrived."
Quite surprising!
Remember that Drouin will finally be in uniform tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning, after missing yesterday's practice. (confirmed by Martin St-Louis)
Let's hope Jonathan has learned from this whole story.
