The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a significant roster change, determining Ilya Samsonov's immediate future.
Maple Leafs Give Samsonov a Break
Last week, Kyle Dubas mentioned that Ilya Samsonov was somewhat banged up.
By promoting Joseph Woll this morning, the Leafs seem to have decided to allow Samsonov some recovery time... He needs it, since goaltending for the Leafs defense is tough work.
Although Matt Murray is set to start tonight, Woll will serve as backup, ensuring that Samsonov gets his break.
Woll might get a start at some point soon as Matt Murray has been tough to watch lately.
With Samsonov injured, and Murray unable to stay healthy, could Joseph Woll see playoff starts? It would definitely be funny.
