We told you about it in the last few hours, after the very controversial signing of Mitchell Miller with the Boston Bruins, we learned that Logan Mailloux is currently not even allowed to play with the Montreal Canadiens.

There is still a ban in place, as is the case with Miller:

This was confirmed by Jeff Gorton.

However, the National Hockey League went even further, stating that in their eyes, Logan Mailloux is no different than Mitchell Miller. They see both young players in the same light.

It's a statement that is getting a huge reaction this morning.

In both cases (Mailloux and Miller), the young players will have to get the green light from Gary Bettman, before they can step on an NHL ice surface. Currently, they are not allowed to.

When we say that this is the talk of the town this morning, look at Bob Hartley's comments on BPM Sports.

Bob Hartley discusses Gary Bettman's comments that he would ask Logan Mailloux to talk to him before being allowed to play in the NHL.

He says the Mailloux-Miller cases are very different."

He adds that it's a (NHL) media mess to compare Mailloux's situation to Miller's. And he has some very good points:

Well said! These are two very different issues and deserve to be treated differently.

Do you agree with him? Are you afraid that Mailloux won't get the green light from Bettman?

Interesting read if you think both cases are similar:
