To date, many interesting players still do not have a contract in their pocket. It seems that one of them, Nazem Kadri, could be the one delaying the signings.
There have been many rumors about the new Stanley Cup champion. In any case, the forward seems to be waiting for the team in question to give itself the necessary salary space to sign him.
The latest rumors are that the Winnipeg Jets are now in the running for Kadri. It makes sense, as the Manitoba team is in the middle of rumors regarding one of their big forwards, Pierre-Luc Dubois. If Kevin Cheveldayoff manages to send the Quebecer to Montreal or elsewhere, he could look to replace him with Kadri.
Last season, Kadri had the best campaign of his career with 28 goals and 59 assists for 87 points in only 71 games. Kadri could not have picked a better time to have a career year.
