Kent Hughes has been busy, to say the least, since taking over as general manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
He made it clear from the very beginning that his goal was to create space under the NHL salary cap. He did just that, trading Tyler Toffoli, Artturi Lehkonen (who would command a significant raise) and Jeff Petry.
Despite these trades, there is still a lot of work to be done on this side and we should expect more players to leave, specifically a forward who earns over four million per season.
Precisely on this subject, according to the information of the very reliable David Pagnotta, of The Fourth Period, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, would have just added the names of Mike Hoffman, Christian Dvorak and Evgeny Dadonov on the trade market.
