In the final minutes, the Montreal Canadiens players were on the ice, and head coach Martin St-Louis had a surprise lineup in store for us as he revealed a trio that included Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield for the first time in camp.
It's very interesting because we finally get to see who the other winger is, and we have the answer:
"The trios at the Canadiens' practice this morning.
Caufield-Suzuki-Anderson
Drouin-Monahan-Armia
Pitlick-Evans-Heineman
Harvey Pinard-Mesar-Simoneau
Schueneman-Barron
Harris-Norlinder
Trudeau-Fairbrother
Bowey
Montembeault
Poulin "
- Patrick Friolet, RDS
So Josh Anderson seems to be the favorite to start the campaign alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on the first trio. That could mean Juraj Slafkovsky will have to wait.
It's also interesting to note that Jonathan Drouin is back at practice, and that he is on Sean Monahan's trio. Another nice surprise!
Will this team face the Senators tomorrow? More details to follow!
