Martin St-Louis' future with the Habs; Potential obstacle to his long-term signing revealed

It's no secret that since the arrival of Martin St-Louis as head coach of the Canadiens, it's night and day.

He has literally transformed the way the team plays and we are witnessing the blossoming of Cole Caufield and Alexander Romanov, not to mention the fact that Nick Suzuki is probably playing his best hockey since he arrived in Montreal.

With all of this, we tend to forget that St. Louis has the title of interim head coach until the end of the season and he will decide whether or not he returns next year as head coach. Or maybe his family.

As reported by Charles-Alexis Brisebois of Danslescoulisses.com, tipster Darren Dreger mentioned on TSN 690 radio that he suspected St. Louis would land in Montreal when the new management was hired. However, he saw him more in player development or in a lesser role.

Why did he think that? Because his family is not in Montreal.

St-Louis' family is in the United States, so it would be quite a change to move to Montreal. It should also be mentioned that his children are now teenagers and that for them, changing countries during school is never easy.

But now that he has become a head coach, will his family be joining him in Montreal?

Anything is possible, but Dreger is quick to point out that St. Louis' decision could very well depend on his family situation. But if the team's performance since his arrival is any indication, it's a safe bet that he'll be able to convince his family to move to his childhood home.
