Yesterday, we received some great news about goaltender Carey Price, who has started making goalie moves again.
He seemed very comfortable, so much so that his former goaltending coach, Stéphane Waite, said he believes Price will return to action this season. Imagine! That would be big.
Recall that, during Carey's recent on-ice sessions, we saw him quite simply skating lightly, standing up, and stretching a little.
There, yesterday, he did exercises much more similar to the gestures he has to make in game situations, which is obviously very positive and encouraging.
Today, major development!
We have just learned that, for the first time in a very long time, as reported by Luc Gélinas, of RDS, Carey Price received shots! So he immediately took the next step, which is obviously very, very good news.
If Carey is able to increase the intensity over the next few days, and continue to receive shots, the next step for him will already be: back to training with his teammates.
Let's not go too fast, but we can start hoping again.
«Carey Price is still on the ice this afternoon in Brossard. He made moves in front of his net for a good twenty minutes and he is currently receiving shots. David Savard also skated #rds #ch» - Luc Gélinas Good news also for Savard. But, I repeat, to see that Carey receives shots (finally), it's big.
