In the past few hours, the National Hockey League has made a major announcement about its Commissioner, Gary Bettman.
This has been relayed by numerous media outlets, including the Sports Business Journal.
Gary Bettman has officially become the most experienced commissioner in the history of professional leagues, across all leagues and all sports combined.
"Gary Bettman is now the longest-serving commissioner in sports history, serving 30 years with the NHL."
They also announced that Bettman is the recipient of this year's "Lifetime Achievement Award," a very prestigious prize.
